On Saturday 27 January, in honour of Colin Attenborough, who has served as Chair of the Friends of Sinfin Moor Park Local Nature Reserve for over 14 years, the Pavilion was renamed the COLIN ATTENBOROUGH PAVILION !!

A plaque with the new name was presented to Colin by Cllr Baggy Shanker on behalf of Derby City Council Parks Department in front of a large crowd, including Parks colleagues, local councillors, representatives from other Friends groups, the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Sinfin Moor Church, Sinfin Community Centre, Colin's family and of course, members of the Friends of Sinfin Moor Park Local Nature Reserve and Cafe customers, as well as Beverley Rhodes, who instigated the setting up of the Sinfin Friends group in 2007.

This is such well deserved recognition of all that Colin has given to the Park over the years, linking with partner organisations, planning events, running the group and generally looking after the Pavilion, Park and Nature Reserve.  Thank you Colin!  And CONGRATULATIONS!!
